I’ve always despised the “If it saves just one life” argument, which is used all the time, even outside of the current COVID-19 context. The problem is that it is rife with hypocrisy. People use this argument to support whatever their irrational position is on an issue, while ignoring it on other issues. Every policy has trade offs.t is such an overly simplistic mindset. “Everyone stays home, nobody dies. People leave home, millions die.”

There is a small minority of people who can die from this virus and we know who they are. Let’s isolate them and stop all of this consequential fallout from these absurd policies. If you are not among this minority and are still afraid of dying from it, for some reason (thank you, media) then you are free to stay home too.
