My nurse all but delivered my second child, my daughter. My doctor had seen me that afternoon and thought it would be at least two more days before delivery. My nurse called him from the hall just outside delivery five times. He lived nearby. He just wouldn’t come. He did sew me up. The nurse did everything right. He did “catch” the baby when she was halfway out. She kept me from panicking.
