my buddy also waits patiently as I repair…if for no other reason than he knows that when I’m done, I will toss the toy and that is the reward!Puppy used to get her feelings hurt when I would get pkgs. from UPS, and I would get all excited. She would look so sad. So I would make a necklace for her out of two old bracelets. Or, I would get something’s at the store and put them away knowing I was waiting for something in the mail/UPS. When the pkg would come I would get one of the gifts I bought and put it in the box with what I received without her knowing it. Then I would open the box in front of her. I would get excited about my “gift”and then we would open her “gift” and then we would get excited together. Then we would put on our gifts and/or we would play with hers. We would be so happy together.
