My daughter just started attending University of Padua last fall! I visited her in September- loved it so much. Her dad went to visit in late February; they went skiing – and then he basically got stuck there in the shutdown. He’s been there ever since! He will finally return here next week.
Been there. Padua is a lovely town with many nice restaurants. Be sure to see Giotto’s chapel frescos & the Shrine of Saint Anthony. They also have a good decorative arts museum.

I was so happy I was able to see Giotto’s work when I was there in 1996. I may have seen Donatello’s crucifix, but the marvelous Scrovegni Chapel has taken precedence in my memory.Padua is one Italian city that I have yet to visit, but reading this, now plan to, especially since I so often rely these days on St. Anthony to find more things as I grow older.
