Love Amsterdam! Years ago, my husband and I toured the Riksmuseum and later went to dinner at a place that served moulles and frites. When the order came to the table, I was astonished to see a half peck of mussels! Later noticed the establishments was listed as a good find in “Europe on $40 a Day.

Rick, in 1976 I lived in The Hague and we rode the train to Amsterdam one weekend. We saw “The Night Watch” being restored at the Rijksmuseum and then headed to a Mexican Restaueant owned by two guys from CA. They served pitchers of beer with the meals. I cannot begin to recall the restaurant name.

My Bride and I were there last April. This makes me appreciate it all the more knowing it could be a unknown period of time before we will be able to travel to Europe again. It’s important to keep a positive attitude and have faith in the skill. I was supposed to be there next week. Still gutted we had to cancel our trip. I know it was the right decision…but it still hurts after looking forward to our trip for so long.
