Criminal charges are under consideration? ? Really? That wasn’t an officer trying to detain a suspect; Floyd was already detained and there are plenty of non lethal ways to detain a suspect. That was punishment. That was revenge. That was murder. If any one of us did this, there would be no consideration, we would have already been in jail and awaiting charges.

I imagine the current DOJ wants to sweep this under the rug as quickly as possible. “We investigated and found no wrong-doing. All officers followed their training.” Tired of the police going unpunished for bad behavior. The point of the “bad apples” analogy is you need to REMOVE the bad apples, not shuffle them to another city where they can keep killing. If a department won’t remove, and criminally prosecute, bad apples, the entire department is bad apples.

So how much investigation is needed here? You have the video and the perp should have already been arrested and arraigned. Investigate if more charges are required but murder and abuse seem to be self-evident. By the way, I don’t much care if he spends 25 years to life in jail on state or federal charges.

• What more consideration do they need.
• Arrest Chauvin and his accomplices already.
• You and me wouldn’t get consideration of whether we should be arrested.
• It would happen on the scene or shortly after.
• Cops aren’t above the law or basic human morality.
• In fact they should be held to a higher standard than us, not a much, much lower one

Feds won’t find any evidence..local should get a grand jury in place and present the case to them…period…like any other citizen..let the grand jury decide..is there probable cause that a crime was committed and the officer(s) committed a crime.. the officers have immunity for deaths caused as a result of their official duties…civil and criminal immunity..for justified deadly force..this case does not appear to have any justification for the deadly force…he was handcuffed from the time he was taken out of his car..three officers then have him secured in the ground…with two holding him down, and one with his knee in his neck for nine minutes.
