Chewbacca, my best friend. He was part of my life for almost 15 years and my heart will hurt forever that he’s gone.Ren (Gaelic for ‘small but mighty), 14 years of the kindest, gentlest, funniest, most loyal friend, all wrapped up in less that 4kg of Jack Russell. Watched over the children when they were ill, and never left my side. Never growled and was the only jack I know to retrieve (far better than my current Labrador ?who of course I love to bits, but she won’t retrieve!). Irreplaceable little boy

My heart cat. Freeway. Lover of prawns, peas and crab sticks. He was well known on the surrounding streets as he did the starving stray routine. Funniest memory is when the side street was being resurfaced. He went to the top of the pile of gravel and defecated on top. To be fair with the metal fencing it did look like the world’s biggest litter tray
